For those who were asking for a post on why one should research one's history for historical based fiction, someone else has just written one. One day I shall give you my ideas, but in the interim, this has good stuff in it.

Today the postman rang my doorbell. Only once. He had a work parcel and a fun parcel, to make up for only ringing once. The fun parcel is from Llyn, who decided I needed a book about Esther Abrahams. And I did. I'm taking it to class tonight to find out if the Johnston I teach is from the same family. He said not, last week, and said the spelling was different, but today the spelling looks exactly the same to me.

I also received Steam Engine Time 10 electronically. I keep wanting to say "Free, to a computer near you."

I celebrated Esther Abrahams by writing a book review of something entirely different. I shall find a way to celebrate SET, too.

If I ever remember the announcements I was going to make today, then I'll make them. Otherwise I might just prepare my classes.
