Mar. 5th, 2009 11:06 pmToday was a total wipe-out. All I managed was food poisoning and chasing up missing things for taxes.
The evening redeemed the day. I saw Watchmen with some friends. I can eat popcorn and rice, but none of the foods I actually prepared ahead for today. This is also good, because I am cancelling everything except work tomorrow and giving myself recovery time. I'm over the worst of the food poisoning, but I can't help thinking that the reason I got it in the first place was doing just a bit too much. It's a shame, because it means I miss time out with other friends, but today was a very interesting kind of mess and I really don't need to be there again any time soon.
All the really interesting stuff in my life happened in the Illawarra today, anyhow, with two of my favourite Masques authors giving a 20+ minute interview on the radio there. Richard Harland and Laura Goodin must have been outstanding for an interview about a book published in Canberra to be given that much time. I am in awe of their radio skills now, as well as their writing.
