May. 10th, 2009 12:52 pmI'm in the eighteenth century again. Today it's work avoidance. My less-than-perfect wellness turned out to be a low level migraine of several days duration. I kept it at bay enough yesterday to enjoy my various outings and I'm determined to beat it today, as well. It will be gone tomorrow, because I shall scold it soundly if it isn't.
It isn't a bad migraine, honestly - light is strong and sounds are loud and I feel a bit off colour.
The trouble with migraines is that sometimes good coffee tastes bad, so I'm drinking up my bad coffee (it still tastes bad, but at least I know that). The other trouble with migraines is that the world shifts to somewhere slightly strange. The changes in hearing and vision make me think of alternate realities. The alternate reality of this hour is that this James Hook achieved the fame of Peter Pan's Hook.
I might download one of his scores and stare at it and pretend I understand what I'm reading. That'd teach my migraine! It'll also mean I don't have to work for a bit longer.
