May. 26th, 2009 11:29 pmI am almost caught up with everything that I missed when life became interesting. I think I am, anyhow. I may just have not looked at my piles of paper closely. Would I do such a thing? Simplify my life by shutting my eyes? I leave that for you to decide.
I could stay up late and edit one more story and then be only a day later than I wanted with most things this week, or I could curl up and sleep and have curious dreams.
The other option is to take all my spam and rip out the most interesting phrases and turn it into an exercise for my students. Except I've already spent 4 hours on teaching prep today. It's a pity. Spam is so wonderfully imperfect that it works superbly in class.
I shall compromise: I'm going to go to bed and dream a spam story. I shall edit the story as I go. Then I'll wake up in the morning, completely at peace with myself.
