Bibliobuffet
Apr. 1st, 2010 07:18 pmI have news! I know a few of you were upset when my Food History blog became a victim of the US economy. I was going to replace it with more food history, and I said so and I had plans for that and a possible host and everything. Just before Christmas, though (by 'just before Christmas' I mean literally, about 2 hours before Christmas) I was catching up on my online reading because the rest of my world was busy Christmassing. I read a column by an editor. I so wanted to work for that journal. Lauren said stuff about writers in her editor's column and what she said rang true, and it was no longer enough just to read Bibliobuffet. I don't get that feeling very often, and normally when I feel this, alas, the editor in question doesn't share my desire. I sent in a query anyway.
I start on April 4.
The column is about books. It's one of those dream things that just sometimes come along. I'll let you know when my first article goes live, so that you can drop in.
This is one of the two things of wonder that were keeping me going when life got tough. Bibliobuffet is wonderful and its editors are just wonderful to work for. If you want to check them out before I appear there, then click and, by the magic of hyperlink, you will find yourself at one of my favourite online magazines.
