More semi-connected thoughts today. I am becoming an expert in posts comprising semi-connected thoughts. One day I shall develop expertise in hemi-semi-demi connected thoughts. And they will make sense. And you will all fall about in a heap, laughing.
My new refrigerator has been delivered, installed, paid for and adorned with suitable magnets (why do I have so many from Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine? And why, despite the serried ranks assembled, is my collection of magnets featuring ASIM covers still incomplete?).
The only freezerthing that melted during the installation process (sink and ice worked like a dream - thanks everyone!) was a packet of raspberries. I need to decide what to make with them. I love raspberries and it's still too warm to cook, so I am lingering on the thinking side of it. Should I drown them in alcohol and endanger my liver? Should I make muffins? Should I make a sweet raspberry omelette?
I was very pleased with myself when I added how much the fridge (including delivery and etc) and my new computer cost together. They come to $1 less than the amount I had allocated myself for my new computer. So, I have $1 change out of $800. Wealth!
On a sad note, I shall be farewelling my tomato plant on Sunday. I am a bad parent and forget to water it. This is fine when there's regular rain, but there won't be much of that from here till the end of summer. One tomato is close to ripe, though, so all that work and hope and intelligent conversation is not wasted.
And since I'm in a food mood, dinner will be boiled duck eggs. I meant to have them lightly boiled, with toast, but I kinda forgot the toast. I don't know what I'm eating with the eggs, except that it will include capers and it needs to be invented on the spot, because I just can't think of anything normal that would work and if I leave dinner any later then it will be midnight before I get there.
