I just realised that if I can get my various lists down to reasonable sizes a bit early, I can spend maybe a whole week in daydreaming.

My daydreaming consists of serious plotting of the evil variety. It may include highwaymen, will definitely include cheese, will possibly have a sword display and most certainly includes poison. The cheese may or may not be poisoned, depending on what my arch-villian actually gets up to at this time. If the cheese is not poisoned, then it might well turn into an evil instrument of revenge.

If I can do all this (and a considerable bit more, since life is not all about highwaymen and cheese) then I shall be ready to write a chunk of novel during my holidays.

PS No footnotes and no dead morris dancers. Also no dragons.

On a depressing but interesting note, if the tarot cards and the experience of the artist is an aspect of tarot card readings (it is in some fantasy stories - I don't know enough about modern tarot to know if this is a legit assumption) then how would a pack like this affect readings and lives?

I look at the pictures and all I see is suffering and tragedy. If I were writing a short story using these cards as a jumping off point, then the short story would be deepest black. So I wonder about other implications. (I'm not going back to the cards to explore them further - they make me sick inside.)
