Oct. 15th, 2007 11:49 amToday I had a solid sleep-in. I really needed it, too. I've been overworking recently and today is my day off. If I announce it loudly enough it will remain a day off. I can't remember the last time I had a day off where work didn't invade.
Actually, work will invade tonight, but only for an hour. I have to recheck those edits and get the article back to the editor, since her deadlines are pretty horrendous and since things get frantic for a bit from tomorrow.
Sydney is warm and sunny and not nearly as pollenous as Canberra. Instead of hayfever I have a cold. The cold is overwork indicating that consequences are nigh, I need to schedule more time out, soon. I need to learn how to make days off last for a full 24 hours. My only thought about that so far is to change the clock to a 30 hour one. Anyhow, I slept in this morning - work didn't rear its head even once during that time!
What else will make your day more charming? The sun on the water would, if you were overlooking Sydney harbour. I will go enjoy a bit of gleaming and glitter for you.
