Happy Chanukah!
Dec. 9th, 2012 01:08 pmCanberra friends - don't forget that I'm not having a formal party this year. You're still welcome to celebrate with me. Email me or ring me and we'll go from there. I have presents and latke ingredients and candles and dredels.
All my other friends: the sorting hat is sulking (a black sulk, of course) because you were all so moderate in your requests (apart from the honeycake, which still puzzles me) that everyone can get everything they asked for and it didn't even get to see the presents. In fact, I still have the colonialist banksia pods (handy for craft work and historical jokes) and I have a few bookmarks and fridge magnets over. If you (whether you've already asked for something or not) can send me your address before Tuesday night, I can add to the Wednesday post office haul quite easily and I'm very happy to do so.
PS PMT is now 10 days, but I'm eating carbohydrates and chocolate (Chanukah fare!) to keep the dratted temper at bay. I only get a temper this time of month but, my golly, do I make up for being placid during those days!
PPS I forgot your Chanukah song! One verse each day. If you don't know the tune, just ask.
On the first day of Chanukah my true love gave to me ... a latke.
